This Privacy Policy describes how EatingLots thinks about personal information on eatinglotsoffood.com. We teach health and diet skills. We know that notes about appetite, weight, digestion, and training feel private. This policy is written in plain language so you can see what this website actually does.
The short version: the site is static. Forms are checked in your browser and then show a thank-you message. They do not send your answers to a server operated by this website. If you want a human reply, email hello@eatinglotsoffood.com. Reach us by that inbox only.
1. Who is responsible
EatingLots is responsible for the editorial site and for any email conversation you start with hello@eatinglotsoffood.com. There is no separate postal desk. Working hours for reading mail are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 to 18:00. Sunday is closed.
If you email us, you are the person we will reply to. Please do not email us another adult’s health story unless you are allowed to share it and you tell us that you are writing on their behalf. For teenagers, a parent or guardian should be part of any coaching request. We do not knowingly coach young children through this website.
2. Information you might type into a form
Different forms ask for different fields, and every form checks them before it shows a confirmation.
- Home consultation: name, email, topic, a note, and consent to be contacted by email.
- Contact: name, email, subject, message, and consent.
- Appointments: name, email, clinician, plan, date, time window, a note, and an acknowledgement that the form is only a request.
- Subscribe: name, email, at least one topic, and consent to receive the journal.
- Unsubscribe: email, reason, an optional note, and a confirmation that the address should be removed from the journal.
- Comments: name, email, and comment.
- Footer newsletter and header search: an email address, or a short search phrase that stays in the page.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, government identity numbers, or precise location. Please do not add those to a free-text box. If you do, treat that as information you chose to place in your own browser session, and avoid repeating it in email unless you truly need to.
3. What the forms do on this static site
When you submit a form, a script on the page checks that required fields are present and that the email looks like an email. If something is missing, you see a short error under the field and nothing is confirmed. If the fields pass, the form is hidden and you see this sentence: “Thank You! one of our representative will contact you.”
That message is produced locally in your browser. The static site does not transmit the form to EatingLots, does not store it in an account, and does not create a booking by itself. We will not know you submitted the form unless you also write to us by email or a future version of the site tells you, in an updated policy, that delivery has been switched on. Until this policy changes, email is the channel that actually reaches a person.
Search boxes compare your words with a short list of page titles inside the script. The search phrase is not sent to us.
4. Health and diet details
Nutrition coaching can touch topics people consider sensitive: appetite, weight history, digestion, training, family meals, and sometimes mood or sleep. We treat those topics as private even when you are only reading public articles.
Do not use a form or an email to send emergency symptoms. We are not an urgent service. Public articles are general education. They are not a review of your personal history and they are not a medical record.
If you become a client, the notes we keep will be the notes we exchange by email and any summary we agree to write. We keep them so we can remember your plate plan, not so we can build an advertising profile. We do not sell health information. We do not use it to train public models. We do not ask you to post progress photos.
5. Email we actually receive
If you email hello@eatinglotsoffood.com, your message passes through ordinary email providers. Those providers process delivery the way email always does. We use the message to answer you, to schedule or decline a visit, to manage a plan you accepted, or to add or remove a journal subscription when you ask.
Please use an inbox you control. We reply to the address you wrote from. If that inbox is shared, other people who open it may see health details. That exposure is outside our control, so choose the address with care.
We may keep email for as long as needed to finish the conversation, meet a commitment we confirmed, resolve a dispute, or follow a law that applies to us. When a thread is no longer needed, we delete or archive it according to our internal practice. You may ask us to delete a coaching thread, and we will do so unless we must keep a copy for a legal reason. We will tell you if we cannot delete something.
6. The journal
Subscription is separate from care. We only want addresses of people who used the subscribe page or who asked in email to join. Topics you tick help us choose examples. They are not a diagnosis.
Every letter is meant to include a path back to the unsubscribe page in the footer of this website. You can also email “unsubscribe” to hello@eatinglotsoffood.com. We treat a clear request as enough even if the form and the inbox disagree. Leaving the list does not cancel coaching, and ending coaching does not automatically leave the list. Say which you want.
We do not buy email lists. We do not trade addresses with other clinics. If a letter cannot be delivered repeatedly, we stop using that address.
7. Cookies, storage, and fonts
The pages you have now do not set a tracking cookie and do not run an advertising pixel. We do not use the forms to build a cross-site profile. Your browser may keep its own history of pages you opened. That history is controlled by you, in your browser settings.
The visual design loads the typefaces Rubik and Caveat from a font host. When your browser requests those files, the host may see a network address and the fact that a font file was needed. We use the fonts to match our design. We do not receive a report of that request. You can block third-party fonts and the words will fall back to a standard sans-serif or cursive face.
Social sharing buttons open Facebook, X, LinkedIn, or Pinterest so you can share a link. If you are logged in on those sites, they may see that you chose to share. We do not receive your social password. We do not place their buttons in order to follow you around the web.
8. Children
The public site is written for adults planning their own meals or a household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child emailed us, write to hello@eatinglotsoffood.com and ask us to delete the thread. Family coaching, when it happens, should include a parent or guardian.
9. How we use information, and how we do not
When we actually hold information because you emailed us, we use it to:
- reply to questions about plates, visits, and plans;
- prepare a clinician for a conversation you requested;
- send the journal if you asked for it, and stop if you unsubscribe;
- keep a record of what we agreed;
- protect the practice against abuse or a legal claim;
- improve our explanations when a question shows that a page was unclear.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent it. We do not use health notes for unrelated advertising. We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you. A human reads the mail.
10. Sharing with others
We share information only in narrow cases. An email provider processes delivery. A clinician inside EatingLots may see the notes they need for your visit. If you ask us to coordinate with your physician, we share only what you asked us to share. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to prevent serious harm where the law allows that disclosure. We do not publish client lists.
If EatingLots ever changes its structure, email records needed for ongoing clients would move only with the same duties described here, and we would tell active clients by email.
11. Security
No email is perfectly secret. Use a current device, a unique inbox password, and avoid sending secrets you would not want in a mailbox. On our side, we limit who can open the hello@eatinglotsoffood.com mailbox and we do not ask staff to forward client stories to personal accounts for convenience.
The website itself stores no form database to breach, because submissions are not collected server-side. That is a privacy advantage and also a limit: if you need us to know something, email it. Do not assume the on-page thank-you message reached a person.
12. Your choices and requests
You may ask us, by email, to:
- tell you what coaching or journal information we hold about your address;
- correct a name, email, or plan detail;
- delete a thread or a subscription;
- stop journal mail, which you can also do on the unsubscribe page;
- object to a use that is not required to finish a visit you requested.
We may need to confirm that the inbox belongs to you before we discuss what is in it. We will not ask you to prove your identity with a copy of an official document unless there is no safer way, and we will explain why. We aim to answer privacy requests within one month, sooner when the request is a simple unsubscribe.
This policy does not name one country as your only source of rights. If the law where you live gives you extra rights over personal information, you may exercise them by email and we will follow the duties that apply to us. You may also contact a local data-protection authority if you believe we have handled email badly. We would rather hear from you first so we can fix it.
13. Retention in practice
Journal addresses stay while you are subscribed and for a short period afterward so we can show that we honored an unsubscribe. Appointment emails are kept through the coaching relationship and then for a limited archive period so we can answer a follow-up question or a complaint. Marketing-style letters stop as soon as you leave the list. We do not keep “just in case” copies of health stories in personal notebooks.
14. International readers
The site can be read from many places. Email may be processed where our mail host operates. We do not claim that reading a page creates an office in your city, and we do not publish a visiting address. If you need in-person medical care, use services near you. EatingLots coaching described here is educational and arranged by email.
15. Changes to this policy
If we later connect forms to a real inbox or change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top before relying on the new practice. A material change to how client email is used will also be mentioned to people in an active coaching thread. The version you are reading matches a client-side form that confirms on the page and a human reply path that is email only.
16. How to reach us about privacy
Write to hello@eatinglotsoffood.com with the subject “Privacy.” Include the email you want us to look up. We will reply by email. The footer of every page also links to this policy, the terms, the subscribe page, and the unsubscribe page so those choices stay easy to find.
